Did you know that the Lord of the Manor of Ampney Crucis in 1722 was Robert Pleydell?
He gifted land and buildings to the village to be invested and the income to be
distributed to help support the village school, and also to help young people from the
village going into apprenticeships, further education or with essential costs of starting
work.
You may be eligible for a grant from The Robert Pleydell Educational Charity to help with
essential expenditure on books, equipment or field work, though applications for help with
other essential costs will be considered.
To qualify you must be between 16 and 24 years old on 1st September, 2024 and either live
in the parish of Ampney Crucis or your parents are on the Ampney Crucis Electoral Roll as at
1st September, 2024.
